Monthly Challenge

Each month, team members completed a small design exercise, shared their results, and at the end of the challenge, voted on the projects that won in the different categories.

Trigger concepts consisted of three random words that each designer could interpret as they wished. The only requirement was that it had to be a project with defined goals and a framework. There were no limitations regarding the type of design: projects could range from UI design to Motion Graphics.

To keep it impersonal, fake names were used. This encouraged more creativity and fearless experimentation while making the voting system as objective as possible.

Challenge

A junior team with diverse professional goals that weren’t fully supported or challenged by the client’s projects faced limited opportunities for creative growth. The low-impact nature of the work created a risk of burnout or loss of interest; however, the team consistently demonstrated strong responsibility and commitment to their professional development.

Results

Very well received:
Each month, 100% of the design team participated.

Creativity spread quickly:
Each month surpassed the previous one in both scope and complexity.

Development of management skills:
Every member began leading a project, defining timelines and scope, and transforming ideas into structured, meaningful work.

Making the most of downtime:
Non-project time was turned into opportunities for creativity and skill development.
