A discovery-driven, disruptive project designed to elevate the current Material Bank site experience to a whole new level, transforming how users explore, interact, and connect with the platform.
Challenge
We were challenged by the question: “What could be the next experience for the user?” Inspired by the capability of artificial intelligence, we explored how to incorporate it seamlessly into the user journey in ways that would enhance and simplify each interaction. In a world where AI supports nearly every platform, our goal was to imagine how we could make the most of it, not just to support the experience but to truly redefine it.
Results
We created an experience where AI became the Material Expert, a trusted companion that supports the user at every step, recommending similar products based on the insights of both the material and the project in progress. What once felt like a classic e-commerce journey evolved into an immersive, intelligence-driven experience, guided by product specs and designed to help users take the next best action.
In a short, focused process, we explored the true added value of AI, using it not just as a feature, but as a driver of a more intuitive experience. The goal was to break conventions and build something bold, guided by one key principle: identifying the next three actions that help users move forward effortlessly, reducing friction at every step.
